I have to admit that every since we came back from our vacation, my mind and my body have not been in sync . At all. My thoughts could be playing leapfrog in my brain, jumping over inspirations and ideas in a rapid fire frenzy, but my body insists that it is, after all, still summer and a poolside nap would be a much better way to ensure the brilliance of future artistic endeavors. And I gave in to the flesh....
The creative spark cannot be doused, though. As I was lazily floating in the cool water, something that looked like a little sailboat passed me by. A vessel courtesy of my grapevine. The third time I swam past it, i couldn't resist any longer. Dripping all the way I hurried to my studio to get my camera. This moment of uncommon beauty had to be recorded somehow.

The rest of the afternoon was spend in joyful abandon as I chased the sunlight dancing on the water, snapped frame after frame of the beautiful abstract shadows on the concrete steps, shadows that were cast by one small leaf's voyage across the big pond.
Really, it doesn't take much to make me happy...
