Saturday Jim and I were manning the studio. Usually when he's there with me, we either sit around the work table with a cup of coffee and kibitz about the state of the world while he watches me make creative messes, or he curls up on the sofa in the members lounge and disappears into a book. Not this time! I have photographic evidence that Mr. Engineer had fun (even if he did make faces at me) wielding a glue gun and playing with corks!
And sometimes you get these moments where everything just falls into place. Being at the Studio with the one I love, laughing and doing what I love.....my little world was a perfect slice of bliss. Just then a crackling of discontentment threatened the fine weather we were having. Mutterings came from the workbench."I need another champagne cork!"
Not a minute later his phone announced a txt with a cheerful "ding". And I kid you not, this is what it read: CHAMPAGNE IS CHILLING! So the day ended with good friends, good food, and a Champagne cork being pushed into the last open spot in our "cork" board. Like I said: sometimes everything just falls into place.
